Before and After School Program Needs Assessment

Felix Marchand Education Centre Before and After School Program Needs Assessment
Posted on 02/23/2023

The purpose of this survey is for the Strait Regional Centre for Education to gather preliminary information regarding the needs of families within the Felix Marchand school community for a Before and After School Program. The Nova Scotia Before and After Program is a fee based program available to families of children ages 3.8 to 12, who are enrolled in the Nova Scotia Pre-primary Program or the public education system at schools identified as having need.

The information collected from the needs assessment will be used by the SRCE to recommend securing an approved childcare, municipal recreation or recognized non-profit recreation provider to deliver Before and After School Programming at Felix Marchand Education Centre. This is not a guarantee that the program will take place. The summary information may be shared with SRCE staff and partners.

The survey is collecting specific information regarding the number of families who would register children, hours that best meet the needs of families, the anticipated ages of children, and how many days per week families require these programs. The information collected will be securely stored on the SRCE server until it is no longer required.

This survey will be open until March 17, 2023.
