Dear Students and Families of Richmond Education Centre/Academy,
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful and restful summer break. We are thrilled to welcome back our returning students and families and extend a warm, heartfelt welcome to the new members of our school community.
All students are encouraged to bring a positive attitude, try new things, and always do their personal best. Student success is a team effort, which is why we deeply value our partnership with families and work hard to ensure that every voice is heard. Please feel free to contact the school anytime you have questions, concerns, or need clarification on school matters.
Families are reminded that the school is providing all essential school supplies directly to classrooms this year. There is no need to purchase the basic supplies students will require for their classes.
We are also pleased to continue offering daily breakfast and lunch programs to support our students. To keep you informed, our weekly newsletter, The Weekly Flash, will continue to deliver upcoming events and school news straight to your inbox.
Classroom teachers will also soon send home their specific communication plans about how they will share classroom information, upcoming events and student learning.
Are you interested in becoming an active part of our school community? Please consider volunteering as a member of our School Advisory Council, coaching a school sports team or chaperoning a school event.
For more information, please contact the main office to learn about the required steps needed for becoming a volunteer.
Please also mark your calendars for our Open House on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 (5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), where you can join us for a tour the building, and meet our wonderful staff.
We are looking forward to a fantastic school year ahead and we thank you for your continued support!
Jill Burton, Principal
